Building the relationships behind real pathways.
Unlocking Youth Potential
The CTE Collective is a group of nine CTE leaders from across the United States who have learned from some of the strongest career-connected learning systems, partnerships, and pathway models around the country.
But the Collective is not simply a network of practitioners. It is a practical, relationship-driven framework for helping schools, employers, and communities build high-quality CTE and career pathways in places where no single institution can do the work alone.
At its core, the CTE Collective says:
Schools cannot design meaningful pathways by themselves. Employers cannot scale talent pipelines by themselves. Communities cannot improve economic mobility through disconnected goodwill. The work only becomes durable when the right partners come together, define the real problem, clarify decision rights, and build trustful pathways around actual economic demand.
The CTE Collective brings together national CTE leadership experience and translates it into a usable structure for local communities. Its members have seen what works across different regions, industries, school systems, and state contexts. That gives the Collective a broader perspective than a single district, program, or consultant can offer.
The Collective helps communities move from isolated CTE programs to coordinated pathway ecosystems.
Schools bring pedagogy, credit, student support, standards alignment, and permeability.
Employers bring real work, occupational standards, equipment expectations, skill validation, and labor-market reality.
Intermediaries bring process, governance, facilitation, continuity, and translation between systems.
Communities bring legitimacy, context, political will, and shared accountability.

Our Story Comes Alive
Explore Our Vision
The CTE Collective envisions a future where career and technical education is no longer treated as a separate program, a secondary option, or an isolated initiative. We believe CTE should sit at the center of how communities prepare young people for meaningful futures, strengthen local economies, and build shared prosperity.
Our vision is for every community to have access to trust-based, employer-connected pathways that are built around real opportunity. That means schools, employers, intermediaries, and community partners working together with clarity, purpose, and shared accountability.
We believe the strongest pathways are not copied from somewhere else. They are built locally, shaped by actual workforce needs, grounded in student opportunity, and sustained by relationships that can survive leadership changes, funding shifts, and political pressure.
The CTE Collective exists to help communities move from fragmented programs to coherent systems. We bring national perspective, practical experience, and deep belief in the power of CTE to connect learning, work, and purpose.
Our vision is simple:
Every student should have access to pathways that are meaningful, rigorous, connected to real work, and built by a community that believes in their future.
